RDC Season Update - 2021
June 11, 2021
Dear RDC Guests,
Well, it’s actually here. After the most tumultuous, uncertain year in its history, RDC is ready to reopen its doors to you —and we’re delighted! Getting here would not have been possible without your steady patience, understanding, and support. Again, thank you.
As we have from the start, we continue to use both the CDC’s Covid-19 guidelines and New Hampshire’s Universal Best Practices as our guides for ensuring the health and safety of our guests and staff this summer. As we all know, these recommendations are constantly shifting—even since our last communication. Below are a few updates:
We will no longer require masks to be worn outdoors for guests who are fully vaccinated. Out of respect for our unvaccinated guests (especially children), however, we continue to ask guests to wear masks in all shared indoor common spaces and to practice physical distancing. This includes in the dining rooms, offices, Camp Store and Commons, and Zodiac.
For partially- or unvaccinated guests, we ask that you wear a mask in all common areas and when you cannot maintain proper physical distancing.
To the delight of most everyone, we will be installing our floats along the Rockywold and Deephaven shoreline as well as off Otter Island.
While we’re grateful for the impressive employees we’ve hired for the season, the absence of our international crew leaves us well below our regular team number and, as such, will continue to offer only take-out service at the dining rooms and at the new ball field pavilion location.
To make life a little easier during this “no dining room” season, a beverage caddy and reusable bags will be available to help carry your meals back to your cottage or favorite dining spot. An electric tea kettle will also be provided in your cottage for a late-night cup of tea or a hot chocolate on those cool days. And for the early birds among you, coffee to go will be available at both dining rooms between 6:30 - 7:30 a.m.
If you haven’t completed the Guest Contact Form for your family or group online, we encourage you to do so prior to your arrival.
While certain traditional aspects of Camp will be missed this year, much remains unchanged, most importantly, pristine Squam, the surrounding mountains, early morning loon calls, and precious time with family and friends—something most of us could use a huge healing dose of after the last year.
Until we see you at the lake, be well, travel safely, and please contact us with any questions.

Guest Information Manual
The Point Person for each cottage is required to fill out a Guest Contact Form for all guests 18 years of age and older in their party prior to arrival. We are asking for their email addresses and phone numbers. These will be used to communicate Camp information and contact tracing if needed. The Guest Contact Form can be completed and submitted online or printed out to be filled in by hand and mailed to RDC. RDC requires this contact information prior to your arrival at RDC.
The following documents will be presented at check-in to the Cottage Point Person. Signatures will be required for all guests in the party 18 years of age and older collected by the Point Person and returned to the office prior to the first meal.
